David A. Singer
David A. Singer has 30 years of professional experience in government and the real estate industry. Mr. Singer has served as counsel to National RE/sources since 2002, where he has closed numerous leasing, financing and purchase and sale transactions including acquisitions of former energy generation assets and infrastructure. As counsel to National Resources Energy he will perform many of these same functions.
As a member of the Elias Group, LLP since July 2000, Mr. Singer primarily worked on real estate transactions, public/private partnerships in the water and wastewater industries and has facilitated the startup of an energy from waste company. Mr. Singer served as a senior real estate attorney with Pillsbury Winthrop, where he managed acquisitions, sales, and leasing transactions for commercial property owners.
Prior to engaging in private practice, Mr. Singer served as Associate General Counsel with the Nine West Group, Inc., where he managed and supervised commercial leasing transactions for all Nine West retail stores in the United States and Canada. Previously, Mr. Singer was counsel to national shopping center owners, specifically, Corporate Property Investors and Levin Management Corporation. He also served as the project director for a proposed 1,000 unit residential development in Somerset County, NJ, coordinating the land use approval process on behalf of the property. As the Executive Director of the 42nd Street Development Corporation, he worked on a joint venture with the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.
Mr. Singer has also worked for a political consulting firm on polling and consulting on an energy industry project.
Mr. Singer is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers, the National Housing & Rehabilitation Association and the New York State Bar Association and is admitted to practice law in New York and New Jersey. Mr. Singer received a BA from Tufts University and his JD from the Washington College of Law of the American University. |
